Something Delicious is coming your way!

Winter Wedding Tablescape Ideas

We understand that having a gorgeously decorated table is just as important as having delicious food on your wedding day. Styling up your table settings, centrepieces and even the presentation of your food will transform your wedding meal into a unique, memorable occasion.

If you’re having a winter wedding, here are a few of our favourite trends and tablescape styling ideas to create a beautiful, seasonal setting.

Nordic Winter Tablescape

Take inspiration from Scandinavia this winter and add a little bit of Nordic chic to your wedding. This trend is all about being minimal and natural, at the same time as being super stylish - but in an understated way.

Nordic tablescape colour schemes are very neutral with lots of white, grey and muted blues mixed with natural wood. Another important element is bringing the outside in - opt for greenery instead of flowers on your table. Think evergreen foliage, sprigs of fir tree, pine cones and berries, laid out in wreaths or runners along rustic wooden tables.

Make sure you add plenty of candles to add some warmth and ambience. Keep the place settings quite simple, with white or pale grey crockery, and a hint of luxury with gold cutlery. To make things extra hygge, add some blankets or faux fur throws to the backs of chairs or along benches for the ultimate Nordic chic look.

White Christmas Tablescape

If you want to keep your winter wedding seasonal but don’t want to turn it into a Christmas-themed wedding, this is the perfect trend for you. Take inspiration from snowy winter days and opt for a simple white colour palette, with added sparkle from metallic accents and twinkling lights.

Start with a crisp white tablecloth and add white crockery - or use clear glass plates for your table settings to add a contemporary twist. Use white, cream or pale blue tones throughout to give an icy feel, but warm things up with plenty of candles. Use clusters of pillar candles to create centrepieces, then add a small amount of foliage, berries or white flowers for a modern look. We love trailing ivy or eucalyptus stems for this trend.

Finish the look off with gorgeous glassware, gilded cutlery and a simple calligraphy place card. Make sure the rest of the venue is decked out in festoon lighting, twinkling fairy lights and candles to tie the look together.

Decadent Winter Tablescape

For something a little cosier and more decadent, opt for deep jewel tones, dark wood and plenty of gold. This trend is glamorous yet modern, perfect for creating a seasonal tablescape fit for any winter wedding.

Choose an accent colour - such as deep burgundy, emerald or navy blue - and pair this with lots of gold accessories and dark, rich textures like velvet, mahogany wood and silk. With this trend, more is more! So opt for big floral arrangements packed full of dark coloured flowers, greenery, twigs and berries, paired with fabric table runners and lanterns.

Keep the colour scheme going with jewel toned napkins set on top of gold placemats or plates - and don’t forget the gold cutlery too. Use gold-rimmed wine glasses for the finishing touch.
